Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) is headquartered in Singapore and part of UOL Group and has set out 10 new-build and major renovation projects across Southeast Asia for 2027. The pipeline includes Pan Pacific Phnom Penh, Siam Pan Pacific Bangkok, PARKROYAL Siem Reap, PARKROYAL Hanoi and PARKROYAL Jakarta. Three renovations are also planned: PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering in Singapore, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, and PARKROYAL Gurney Bay Penang, as part of a portfolio transformation underway since 2020.
The 2027 pipeline also covers Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Thonglor in Bangkok and PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay. PPHG said the programme is not a single design language or renovation exercise. It is a transformation spanning physical product, brand proposition, guest experience, sustainability and technology. Pan Pacific is being positioned as the group’s luxury brand, PARKROYAL as its upscale proposition, and PARKROYAL COLLECTION around nature, sustainability and wellbeing.
Choe Peng Sum, chief executive officer of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said: “People are living differently, and therefore they are travelling differently. The boundaries between work and leisure, business and personal time, travel and wellbeing are becoming increasingly fluid. We cannot respond to that with yesterday’s hotel model.”
PPHG cited Agoda data showing Bangkok recorded 30.3 million international arrivals in 2025, making it the world’s most visited city by international arrivals. The group also pointed to Southeast Asia’s estimated 144 million international visitors in 2025. It cited SEADS figures showing a 13.4% increase on the previous year, sustaining about 42.5 million tourism jobs.
“Version 2 is our response to that change. It is about creating hotels that are more relevant to how people live today — through better design, stronger wellbeing propositions, more responsible infrastructure, technology that makes the experience easier, and brands with a much clearer point of view,” said Choe Peng Sum.
“We do not want one brand to be everything to everyone,” said Choe Peng Sum. “Our ambition is to have a portfolio where each brand has a clear reason to exist, but where the Group as a whole has the operating breadth to capture different forms of demand.”
Pan Pacific Hotels Group owns and/or manages more than 50 hotels, resorts and serviced suites. They span three brands in more than 30 cities across Asia Pacific, North America and Europe.
