Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has partnered with HYBE to bring ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’ to Singapore from 1 to 31 December 2026, marking Singapore as the first and only Southeast Asian stop in 2026. STB described it as the largest island-wide fan activation ever held for any recording artist in Singapore. The activation builds up to BTS’ sold-out four-night concert run at the National Stadium on 17, 19, 20 and 22 December.
‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’ is HYBE’s city-wide experience model that transforms a host city into a themed ‘BTS THE CITY’ experience across multiple precincts. It is designed to run alongside the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’. HYBE said the format extends the concert experience through large-scale themed events and branded installations.
The project was first held in Seoul in March 2026 and has since been staged in Las Vegas, Busan, London and New York. STB said Singapore marks the project’s first and only stop in Southeast Asia.
Island-wide partner activations
STB named partners including Jewel Changi Airport, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, National Gallery Singapore, National Museum of Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa, Sentosa Development Corporation, The Kallang Group and Zouk Singapore. Activations include a light and music show at Jewel Changi Airport’s Rain Vortex, a themed takeover of the Exploria attraction at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and an art trail at National Gallery Singapore pairing BTS music with its Pop after Pop exhibition.
Other activations include light and sound installations at the National Museum of Singapore, a fireworks display within Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa, and a rave and drone show plus a themed race on Sentosa Island. The Kallang will host interactive experiences across multiple themed zones, while Zouk Singapore will stage opening and closing night takeovers with dedicated music programming.
Landmarks in Marina Bay and along the Singapore River will be lit in ARIRANG red each night from 8 to 22 December 2026. STB named Anderson Bridge, Cavenagh Bridge, Clemenceau Bridge, Coleman Bridge, Elgin Bridge, Gardens by the Bay, Millenia Tower, Ord Bridge, OUE Bayfront, Singapore Flyer, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, The Helix Bridge and The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore among the lit landmarks.
STB cites tourism positioning
Oliver Chong, Assistant Chief Executive of STB’s International Group, said the agency viewed the project as its largest city-wide destination collaboration for any recording artist.
Chong set out what the project signals for Singapore’s entertainment positioning.
“This is the largest city-wide destination project we have collaborated on with a partner for any recording artist, and we are proud to bring this exclusive experience to the region for the first time,” said Chong. “Hosting the Southeast Asian debut of ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’ is a testament to our ability to attract some of the world’s most iconic IPs, reinforcing Singapore’s position as a premier destination for world-class live entertainment. We look forward to welcoming BTS fans from across the world to Singapore this December.”
STB said the project builds on its partnership with HYBE and its labels that began in 2024, covering social media content creation, event participation and music video productions featuring Singapore landmarks.
HYBE described the Singapore edition as the final stop of the project in 2026.
“We are delighted to bring ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’ to Singapore for its first-ever Southeast Asian edition, marking the final stop of the project in 2026,” HYBE stated. “With the support of the Singapore Tourism Board, we look forward to extending the excitement of BTS’ concerts beyond the stadium and bringing fans and visitors together through unique experiences across the city. We hope ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SINGAPORE’ will offer fans and visitors from around the world a special way to experience and celebrate the music of BTS and close out the year together.”
STB said further details on partners and activations would be announced in due course.
