Agoda has partnered with Capella Hotel Group to list the operator’s luxury and lifestyle properties on its booking platform, the Singapore-based digital travel company said. The deal covers all properties under Capella Hotels and Resorts and Patina Hotels & Resorts.
Agoda said the partnership opens Capella Hotel Group’s portfolio to its global customer base. The company pointed to its 2026 Travel Outlook Report, which found that 31% of surveyed travellers prioritise culinary experiences and 25% cite cultural exploration as a key motivator for travel.
Andrew Smith, senior vice president of supply at Agoda, set out the thinking behind the tie-up.
“Luxury today is personal. Our role at Agoda is to make sure that what a traveler is looking for – from an everyday getaway to a once-in-a-lifetime stay – is easy to discover and book. Partnering with Capella Hotel Group brings some of the world’s most celebrated properties onto our platform, making these extraordinary stays and experiences just as accessible to our customers as any other trip they plan with us,” Smith said.
Growth markets in the region
Agoda said Bangkok and Bali, where Capella Hotel Group operates properties, are among its most searched destinations for five-star accommodation, alongside Kuala Lumpur. The company cited McKinsey projections that luxury travel demand in Asia Pacific will grow around 8% annually.
Varun Whig, vice president of revenue at Capella Hotel Group, described what the partnership means for the company’s expansion plans.
“As Capella Hotel Group continues on its growth trajectory, partnerships that drive commercial value like this one with Agoda give us the scale and reach to connect with a high-intent traveler base across Asia and beyond. This helps us grow demand for Capella and Patina, while we continue delivering the bespoke service of Capella and the transformative experiences of Patina in every destination we’re in,” Whig said.
Capella Hotels and Resorts was named No. 1 Best Hotel Brand in the World in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2026, its fourth consecutive year in that position. Patina Osaka was voted No. 1 Best Hotel in the World in the same awards, and Capella Bangkok was named The World’s Best Hotel in 2024.
