Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA), a trade event organised by Informa Markets, will run from 20 to 23 April 2027 at the Singapore Expo. The 49th edition is expected to house more than 60,000 international attendees and over 1,820 exhibitors from 110 countries and regions, according to Informa Markets.

The event follows the launch of IndusFood Asia at FHA 2026, a partnership that Informa Markets said has doubled India’s exhibitor presence at FHA 2027. The company described the collaboration as highlighting India’s food and beverage sector on the global stage.

New zones for manufacturing and travel catering

FHA 2027 will introduce an FHA Manufacturing zone, expanding on the FutureFwd zone that debuted at FHA 2026. The zone will cover food ingredients, processing, automation, sustainable packaging and supply chain systems, and will include a forum on food safety, ethical sourcing and waste reduction, Informa Markets said.

Steven Hung, chief executive of the Taiwan Food & Pharmaceutical Machinery Manufacturers’ Association, discussed his organisation’s involvement in the new zone.

“We are particularly thrilled to be part of the newly created FHA Manufacturing Zone, where innovation and excellence converge,” Hung said.

A Travel Catering hub will also launch at the event, focused on food and beverage and amenities for airline and cruise operators. Informa Markets said the hub will feature panels and networking opportunities centred on sustainability and technology. A Private Label segment will separately cover product development and market expansion for private label food and beverage businesses.

Momoko Sheng, managing director of premium protein and nutritional snacks at Rimo Jenny International Development, commented on the Private Label segment.

“FHA Private Label will become a dedicated highlight of FHA 2027, and I look forward to leveraging this platform to foster meaningful connections among retailers, procurement teams, distributors, and exporters,” Sheng said.

Chef competitions and drinks platform

FHA 2027 will host an FHA Chef’s Festival structured around themed brand islands, alongside an FHA Signature Ingredients Challenge and an FHA Pizza & Pasta Challenge run with the Singapore Chefs’ Association. A platform called Immersive Drinks will bring together beverage brands and producers for tastings and educational sessions.

KK Kong, president of the Singapore Chefs’ Association, outlined the association’s role in the Chefs’ Festival.

“The Festival creates a valuable space for chefs and culinary professionals to showcase their craft, exchange knowledge, discover new ideas and engage directly with the wider food and hospitality industry,” Kong said.

Ian Roberts, senior vice president of Informa Markets Asia, described the event’s scope.

“FHA 2027 is more than an event; it’s a transformative experience where the future of food and hospitality comes alive,” Roberts said.

Registration for trade visitors is open. Informa Markets’ hospitality and food and beverage portfolio includes Gulfood, Hotelex Shanghai, HOFEX, WOFEX, Fispal Food Service and Abastur, staging more than 30 events across cities including Singapore, Dubai, Shanghai and Bangkok.
