Food Japan 2026, an exhibition for Japanese food and beverage products, technology and services, will return for its 14th edition at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore from 22 to 24 October. It is organised by OJ Events Pte Ltd.

This year’s edition features 188 exhibitors from 39 prefectures and Singapore, according to the organiser. Prefectural and themed pavilions include Tokachi, Aomori, Tohoku, Ibaraki, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Fukui, Himeji, Sakaiminato, Kagawa, Ehime and Fukuoka. Other participants include the Japan Soy Sauce Association, the Japan Dairy Industry Association, the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, and sake, spirits and wellness food groups from Kyushu.

New categories added

The exhibition introduces a dedicated Pet Food category for the first time, showcasing Japanese pet food products for the pet care market. It also places increased focus on Halal-certified products aimed at suppliers targeting Southeast Asian and other international markets. Other areas on show include health and wellness products, gluten-free offerings, plant-based products, beverages, sake and spirits, food technologies and eco-friendly packaging.

Visitors can take part in interactive tastings, live demonstrations and business meetings with exhibitors. A designated Omakase Stage hosts masterclasses and seminars, including a sake masterclass and sessions by speakers from Japanese dairy manufacturers.

Masanao Nishida, director of OJ Events Pte Ltd, outlined what the 2026 edition adds for visitors.

“We are proud to present an expanded range of products new to the Singapore market, themed around Japan’s regions and diverse industries, frozen foods made with innovative freezing technology, as well as new categories such as pet food and halal-friendly and halal-certified products,” Nishida said. “Food Japan 2026 provides a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of Japan’s regional cultures and culinary offerings, while creating meaningful business connections between Japanese suppliers and the wider ASEAN market.”

Supporting organisations

The exhibition is supported by the Japan Council of Local Authorities for International Relations, the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, the Japan External Trade Organization, and Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The organisers also acknowledged support from the Singapore Tourism Board since the planning stage.
