HPL Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality arm of Singapore-listed Hotel Properties Limited (HPL), will take over management of Holiday Inn Kandooma Resort Maldives from 1 October 2026. The resort will be rebranded Kandooma Maldives. The property, on a private island in the South Malé Atoll, has 146 villas and is a 40-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport. It becomes Hotel Properties Limited’s eighth property in the Maldives and the 13th hotel managed by HPL Hotels & Resorts.
The all-inclusive plan from 1 October covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, selected beverages and snacks. It also includes complimentary sunset splash cruises, sunrise fishing, a 30-minute spa treatment, guided reef snorkelling and guided diving.
Upgrades are under way across all 146 villas and facilities, with completion targeted in the coming weeks. New additions include eight Family Beach Villas with private splash pools. The resort will also add a Beach Club as an all-day social space for guests and 24-hour dining at Kandooma Café.
Andrew Drummond, the resort’s general manager, said: “We are excited to welcome guests to Kandooma Maldives as we begin this new chapter.”
