OUE REIT has retained its four-star rating in the 2026 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark assessment, achieving a record overall score of 88.7 points. The Singapore-listed trust has held the rating for three consecutive years. Its score rose 3.4 points from 2025, ahead of the 2026 GRESB average of 80.9 and peer group average of 83.6.
OUE REIT said the improvement was driven mainly by stronger environmental performance, alongside consistently high social and governance scores. The trust’s portfolio includes two hotels, Hilton Singapore Orchard and Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, as well as office and retail assets in Singapore and Australia.
Han Khim Siew, chief executive officer and executive director of OUE REIT Management, set out the thinking behind the trust’s sustainability approach.
“Sustainability is an integral part of how we manage and future-proof our portfolio, supporting long-term value creation through responsible capital stewardship, disciplined asset management, and operational excellence,” Han said.
Han pointed to specific projects completed during the year.
“During the year, OUE Bayfront joined the Marina Bay District Cooling System, marking a key milestone in its decarbonisation journey. The initiative is expected not only to deliver meaningful energy savings, but also to unlock additional value by converting the former chiller plant space into premium office space for lease. More recently, One Raffles Place Shopping Mall became the first retail mall in Singapore to attain the EDGE Advanced green building certification,” Han said.
Han said the trust would continue to advance its climate transition initiatives and improve resource efficiency.
OUE REIT holds total assets under management of S$6.1 billion, with its office, hospitality and retail assets concentrated in Singapore and a stake in an office tower in Sydney. Its two hotels offer a combined 1,655 upper upscale rooms along Orchard Road and near Changi Airport. The trust is managed by OUE REIT Management, a subsidiary of OUE Limited.
