Trip.Biz, the business travel arm of Trip.com Group, launched an artificial intelligence suite called Agent ONE at its Transform 2026 summit held at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.

The half-day event brought together around 200 senior leaders from travel, procurement, finance and human resources functions. Trip.Biz used the summit to set out its case against treating Asia Pacific as too fragmented for consistent travel management, alongside the product launch.

Trip.Biz chief executive Tao Song opened proceedings with an address titled “A New Day One for Business Travel”.

Simplicity and trust

Song set out the company’s ambitions for its next phase of growth.

“Trip.Biz aims to become a leading global AI-powered travel management company (TMC) rooted in APAC and built for the complexity of global business travel,” Song said. “We are building for the new world, in which digital adoption pushes the boundaries of what’s possible, and gives way to innovative tech solutions that help fix real-world challenges,” he added.

Eugene Tan, general manager for Southeast Asia at Trip.Biz, delivered a keynote arguing that the difficulty multinational programmes face in the region stems from the operating model rather than the market itself.

Tan set out why he believes existing approaches fall short across the region.

“The complexity isn’t the APAC region, it’s the model,” Tan said. “Every model on the market today breaks somewhere, because none of them delivers consistency and depth at the same time.”

Trip.Biz said its approach is a single, digital-first, full-service platform intended to give global programmes consistency across markets while absorbing the complexities of the region itself. The company said this has produced a 90% service-level agreement compliance rate and a satisfaction score above 80% across the region it serves.

Closing the leakage gap

Terence Eng, product director at Trip.Biz, spoke on the limits of a single platform without the right content and usability.

Eng explained what he sees as the remaining barrier to full adoption of managed booking tools.

“Even with one platform, leakage doesn’t disappear automatically,” Eng said. “To actually reduce it, that platform needs the right content and genuinely good usability. Without both, travellers will still book off platform, even with the right model in place.”

Song returned to the stage to launch Agent ONE, describing it as the next step in reducing travel programme leakage. Trip.Biz said Agent ONE consists of four connected, specialised agents supporting the end-to-end business travel lifecycle.

Song outlined how the company sees artificial intelligence extending the platform’s existing strengths.

“A platform with the right content and usability gets you most of the way there,” Song said. “AI is how we go further; by continuing to improve the user experience itself, we can drive an even higher adoption rate.”

Song distinguished the tool from broader AI assistants on the market.

“Unlike generic AI assistants, Trip.Biz positions Agent ONE as a purpose-built AI solution,” Song said. “We drive greater business efficiency across each stage of the business travel lifecycle, and help solve the practical challenge faced by our industry.”

Trip.Biz said Agent ONE is now available globally across all markets it supports.
